Rhinoscopy Foreign Body Removal

A two year old spayed female Yorkshire Terrier was presented with a history of sneezing. The referring DVM had flushed a lot of grass out via a nasal catheter during geneal anesthesia. The dog persisted with sneezing.

Survey radiographs were normal. Lesions were seen on contrast enhanced CT and a piece of grass was seen with a cystoscope.

The blade of grass was removed with a pair of flexible forceps passed through the channel of the cystoscope.
